U-Long Selects SmartSilver™ Antimicrobial Protection for Performance Fabric Line

U-Long High-Tech, a perferred fabric supplier to most of the major outdoor performance apparel brands in the US, Europe and Asia, has selected NanoHorizons' SmartSilver™ Antimicrobial Protection for its performance textiles.
NanoHorizons Inc., a leader in the creation of nanoscale performance additives for textile, health care, and industrial applications, has announced that U-Long High-Tech Textile has chosen SmartSilver™ antimicrobial for its performance textiles. Widetech Ltd., a SmartSilver™ distributor in Taiwan, will provide the SmartSilver™ additive to U-Long’s production facilities.

SmartSilver™ antimicrobial additives are available in a range of integration-ready formulations for both natural and synthetic fibers and fabrics. SmartSilver™ provides highly durable, effective protection against bacteria and the odors and material degradation these microbes can cause. SmartSilver™ antimicrobial additives are approved by Oeko-Tex® as free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances believed to be hazardous to human health. The additives are also US EPA registered.
